THE BRAND
ZAHZIL, we are a Mexican silver filigree jewelry brand. We are passionate about preserving the art of filigree to create modern and stylish pieces that can be enjoyed by jewelry lovers around the world.
The desire to share and support the laborious and talented Mexican craftsmanship, which makes each piece of jewelry so unique and unrepeatable, led to the creation of ZAHZIL.
In January 2020 we formally established as a brand in Mexico.
We are committed to bringing the tradition of filigree jewelry and preserving this valuable craft. Each piece of jewelry we create is a piece of art that tells a story.
THE DESIGNER
Christel Humerez, a Mexican product designer, decides to capture her admiration for the art that encloses the Yucatecan filigree technique in a jewelry brand. Hand by hand with local artisans in Mexico she collaborated in the production, design, and development of handmade jewelry.
In charge of taking care of every part of the process to ensure that a piece of excellent quality arrives in your hands.
Christel currently lives in Singapore, but most of the pieces are handmade in our workshop in Mexico.
INSPIRATION
Women's beauty is present in the subtlest sense. In the end, each jewelry piece is beautiful by its very nature.
“Zazil” comes from the Mayan word for light and radiance. We all possess that light that makes us feel unique and beautiful. We create jewelry that radiance woman´s natural beauty.
